Dr. Athena Graves has
committed herself to excellence in dentistry as a practitioner,
and as a well-regarded lecturer, instructor, and spokesperson on
dental topics. She graduated from the School of Dental Medicine
at SUNY-Buffalo. She has served as an instructor at the Broome
County Community College Hygiene School, and has also lectured
Master’s nursing students on geriatric dental care. You may also
have seen Dr. Graves interviewed on television in connection
with “Doctors with a Heart Day,” where free care is provided for
those who cannot afford it. Dr. Graves has participated in this
program for five years.
Dr. Graves is committed to lifelong education and professional
development through continuing education. She has advanced
training in orthodontics, endodontics, and TMJ disorders, and is
certified in Lumineers™. Dr. Graves has also received training
for Periolase™, an FDA approved laser procedure. Her latest
training has focused on some of the latest advances in the
treatment of tooth sensitivity and dental antibiotics. This
advanced training allows her to offer you faster and more
comfortable root canals than ever before.
Dr. Graves participates in the welfare of the community, often
volunteering at a community free clinic. She and her husband,
Jeffrey, have two beautiful children, Michael and Vaia. In her
spare time, you might find Dr. Graves hiking, quilting, or
engaged in family activities.
